The Third Seminar of Electric Vehicles on "Battery and Types of Manufacturing Technologies"

SAIPA

The series of scientific and specialized seminars on electric vehicles started three weeks ago with the idea and initiative of SAIPA Automotive Group President. The third seminar of this series was held at ParsKhodro on the 9th of January 2024 in which Mohammad Reza Sheikh Attar, SAIPA Group Member of the Board of Directors and Vice President in the field of Production and Supply; Amir Hossein Tayebi, Director of SAIPA Group of Strategic Studies and Media; and Masoud Dahmardeh, an assistant Professor at Automotive Engineering Faculty of Iran University of Science and Technology, presented their expert speeches on "Electric Vehicle Batteries and Various Manufacturing Technologies".

Masoud Dahmardeh was the last lecturer of the seminar. He gave a brief history of electric vehicle batteries and the evolutionary process that has taken place in this field. Dahamardeh said: "LFP batteries have many advantages, that's why they are widely accepted. Among many features, it can be pointed out the low cost of production due to the use of iron, no need for expensive metals, high safety, and long life. Despite having disadvantages such as poor energy reception from the battery, the LFP battery is very popular in China. By using LFP batteries to produce electric vehicles, economic cars can be launched on the market."
